Lyft and Brightline become mobility partners in Miami

0

New mobility partnerships are emerging worldwide to meet the growing demands of road users. Multimodality is the concept of the hour. And it is precisely this concept that two mobility partners are now implementing in Miami.
The American sharing provider Lyft becomes the exclusive partner of Brightline, the only privately owned express passenger train provider in the USA. The partnership is the first of its kind for Lyft in Florida and will start these days with the launch of Brightline’s service to Miami.

Brightline’s three current stations will be equipped with Lyft branding and signposts in the future. This is where Lyft’s collection and return zones are displayed, where Brightline guests can wait for their journey in a lounge environment.

Cross-platform information for passengers

The apps of both companies allow users to easily connect to their driver, see the estimated time of arrival of the vehicle and the estimated fare.

“Lyft was founded with the goal of improving the lives of people using the best means of transportation in the world, and to do so, we believe that South Floridians need a wide range of transportation – from public transport to car pools and more,” said Sam Cohen, Florida General Manager of Lyft.

Thanks to the cooperation with Brightline, “passengers can move better between the major cities in our region and we can continue to pursue our goals of reducing the ownership of cars and single occupancy vehicles and making Florida more liveable for all”.

Lyft and Brightline have joined forces to offer travel options that reduce the stress of driving and make positive changes through transport. The aim of this joint mobility offer is to close the gap between transit and passengers. “As we prepare to launch an introductory service in Miami, we are excited to have a partner who is equally passionate about providing accessible and convenient transportation throughout South Florida,” said Ravneet Bhandari, Chief Commercial Officer of Brightline, “By partnering with Lyft, we can ensure that each of our guests enjoys a seamless journey.

At the beginning of the partnership, both organisations will offer special promotions and discounts for users. Thus, two private providers in Florida will complement their offerings in the future thanks to their mobility partnership. For the end customer the journey without the own vehicle becomes thus simpler and more pleasant.
